We need to change outdated guidelines NOW!

Show your support by signing our letter to the Secretary of State for Health.

We've written a letter to the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Wes Streeting, asking him to overhaul outdated NHS guidelines to:

  • Save the lives of Black men. Current guidelines prevent GPs from telling Black men about their risk of prostate cancer, despite Black men being at double the risk of being diagnosed with and dying from prostate cancer.
  • Address health inequalities. Research shows Black men are more likely to get prostate cancer AND face additional inequalities in how prostate cancer is diagnosed and treated.
  • Educate men on their risk. Allowing GPs to discuss risk and the option of a quick blood test to check for possible signs of prostate cancer, so that all men - especially those at highest risk - will be able to make informed decisions on their health.

You can read the letter in full at the bottom of the page.
